The river walk is a magical path that originates from the Fuente del Pitolocated in Sangüesa street, on the right bank of the river Tirón. If you start your walk at this point, a fascinating view opens up before you of the Velasco Castlea stronghold of the 14th century, and the river, complemented by a waterfall that flows from the castle estate and empties into the river.

As you walk along the right bank of the river, you will pass under the Majestic stone bridge. If you want to enjoy the view from a higher altitude, you can climb the stairs to the right, just after crossing the bridge. From there, you will have an exceptional view of the Castle and the lush green area of the river. When you turn around, you will be confronted by the Villa, dominated by the image of the Baroque church of San Miguel. The river and the ashlar stone fronton, which has witnessed numerous pelota matches since the 19th century.

Continuing your walk along the river Tirón, you can enjoy a peaceful stroll along the riverbank, with the freshness provided by a wide range of trees and shrubs. For botany lovers, the route offers a varied selection of plants and trees, including the native aquatic vegetation that lines the river.

The path will lead you to an area dedicated to children's games. From there, you will cross a footbridge over the river to reach the other bank. Following the landscaped park on the left bank, where there is a fountain to refresh yourself, the nature trail will lead you to its end. To return to the village, simply turn left at this point. The Tirgo street and part of the old town will lead you back to the Plaza Mayor and to the St Michael's Churchthus completing this circular path.

Although it is not signposted, this trail can be enjoyed at any time of the year thanks to its abundant vegetation, and is particularly spectacular in spring.

Along your route, you will encounter various botanical and agricultural species such as tuja, cypress, elder, poplar, poplar, thistle, scabious, plantain, poppies, fennel, dandelion, flax, pine, willow, taiwania (sequoia), walnut, robinia, hellebore, sedges, reeds, reeds, loosestrife, mallow, mullein, dandelion, daisy, chamomile, horsetail, water mint, orchards, fig trees and climbing vine.

The walk will also allow you to appreciate the historical and artistic heritage of Cuzcurrita, including the historic quarter, the Barrio de Bodegas, the Church of San Miguel, the Castle of Cuzcurrita and a 19th century wash house. With fountains along the route, the river walk is a real gem for nature and history lovers.
