From the waterfall that emanates from the castle, hikers cross a wooden bridge and follow the path that runs parallel to the irrigation ditch that borders the estate of the Castillo de Cuzcurrita Vineyard. They pass through a forest of poplars and low vegetation until they reach the river dam. This place is an area of great natural interest, making it a very popular recreational area in summer.
The road surface is of relatively compacted earth. Although there are no signposts along the route, it is easy to follow and can be completed in approximately 29 minutes.
The trail offers a rich botanical experience, where you can see riparian species such as poplars, willows, thuja, salicarias, reeds, arums and hellebores.
The route is also of heritage, artistic and historical interest, as it passes through the church of San Miguel, the historic centre of the municipality, the castle and the old 19th century washhouse.
