Village of Sajazarra, La Rioja
Sajazarra is a charming village located in the valley of the river Tirón, only 10 minutes by car of Cuzcurrita de Río Tirón. Its historic centre, declared a historic-artistic site, is full of mansions and stately homes from the 17th and 18th centuries, and its impressive fortified castle from the 15th century rises majestically over the town.

Sajazarra is also known for its wine production and has several wineries that can be visited, such as the Señorío del Líbano winery.
Village of Briones
Briones is another of the most beautiful villages in the area, located only 15 minutes away by car of Cuzcurrita de Río Tirón. Its historic centre, also declared a historic-artistic siteIt is full of manor houses and small palaces, and its 16th century church of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción stands out.

Briones is also famous for its wineries, some of which can be visited, such as the Vivanco winery, as well as the Briones Castle.
There is also the Vivanco Museum of Wine Cultureone of the most important wine museums in Spain.

Haro
Haro is the capital of Rioja wine and is located only 20 minutes by car of Cuzcurrita de Río Tirón. It is a town with a lively atmosphere, especially during its famous fiestas of San Juan in June.

Haro has numerous wineries that can be visited, such as the centenary Muga winery, and its historic centre is full of interesting buildings such as the Church of Santo Tomás or the Bendaña Palace. It is also possible to take guided walking tours of the old town to learn about its history and most important monuments.

Tirgo
Tirgo is a small village located only 5 minutes by car of Cuzcurrita de Río Tirón. Despite its size, Tirgo has several buildings of interest such as the St. Martin's Churchfrom the 18th century, and the hermitage of Nuestra Señora del Carmendating from the 17th century. There are also some very interesting hiking routes in the surrounding area, such as the Cave RouteThis is a visit to the caves carved out of the rock where the utensils and wine of yesteryear were kept.

San Vicente de la Sonsierra
San Vicente de la Sonsierra is a village located at a distance of about 25 minutes by car of Cuzcurrita de Río Tirón, but it is well worth the visit.
Its old town is very picturesque, with steep, narrow streets and stone houses with wrought-iron balconies.

San Vicente de la Sonsierra is also famous for its wineries, some of which can be visited, such as the Carlos Moro winery. Also of note is its spectacular 11th century castleThe village offers breathtaking views of the Ebro valley. In the village, you can go on guided tours to discover its cultural and gastronomic heritage.
